WHO FOUNDED ISLAM?

To understand the history of Islam one has to begin with the Creation of everything.  Islam began with the Creation of the Heavens and our earth.  When universal order was begotten, Islam began.

We know this because we use the following criteria:

Allah The Most High teaches us primarily in His Scriptures (prophets), by His Signs, His Messengers and Inspiration (Divine Guidance)

We learn about what Islam is by reading, reflecting and studying His Messages to us in the form of Scriptures which are defined by Him as the Torah (Old Testament), the Book of Abraham (Sahuf), the Psalms of David (Psalms), the New Testament (Bible) and the Final Revelation The Holy Qur'an.  Those are the only official Scriptures of Allah The Most High.

"And to you We have revealed the Scripture with the Truth confirming what was revealed before it in the other Scriptures, and standing as a Guardian over it.  Therefore give judgment among them in accordance with Allah's Revelations and do not yield to their fancies (swerving) from the Truth that has been made known to you ..." Surah 5, Ayat: 48

To every nation is (sent) an apostle.  When their apostle comes, justice is done among them; they are not wronged." Surah 10, Ayat 47

It is the "combination" of these sources that we get our knowledge, wisdom and overstandings of Truth vs. falsehood.

When we study Scriptures we find that Allah uses clear language to tell mankind that after He created the Universe(s) He created humans who are born in a state of Islam ("Peace" - knowledge of one's Lord [as one God] and self).  The first race of mankind were Adamites who were Muslim by birth according to the Holy Qur'an.  The region of this primal hue'man's birth and reign was somewhere between the two rivers (Tigress & Euphrates or Nile) constituting the theory of the Asiatic-Afri'man.

This early hue'man had descendants upon descendants all the way down to Abraham, the Muslim from Asia, who migrated into Northern Africa and established a legacy of Islam again there.  It was with Abraham that the concept of Islam (monotheism) became reinstituted worldwide among various nations.

The Holy Quran teaches Muslims in no uncertain terms that Abraham is the founder of Islam as it is practiced today. As such, what did Abraham contribute to our daily life as Muslims? The Holy Quran teaches us that ALL RELIGIOUS PRACTICES IN ISLAM, (Salat, Zakat, Fasting, & Hajj) came to us from Abraham, generation after generation. The hypocrites of the Muslims always ask, “How can these practices come to us from Abraham and not from Muhammad”? They do not trust that Allah Almighty can preserve His own religious practices (rituals) to give to us pure and clear. In other words, all religious practices in Islam existed before Muhammad. Muhammad’s sole mission was to deliver the Quran.

"Your ONLY mission (O Muhammad) is to deliver (Quran), while it is we who will call them to account." 13:40

"You (O Muhammad) have no duty EXCEPT delivering (Quran)." 42:48

"The messenger has no function EXCEPT delivering (Quran)..." 5:99

Abraham was the first recipient of the concept of Islam as a practice, and the first to call us Muslims.

"… You shall strive for the cause of ALLAH as you should strive for His cause. He
has chosen you and has placed no hardship on you in practicing your religion - the religion of your father Abraham. He is the
one who named you "Muslims" originally. Thus, the messenger shall serve as a witness among you, and you shall serve as witnesses among the people. Therefore, you shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and hold fast to ALLAH; He is your Lord, the best Lord and the best Supporter." 22:78

"Abraham was neither Jewish, nor Christian; he was a monotheist; a Muslim; he never was an idol-worshiper. The people most worthy of following Abraham are those who follow him and this prophet (Muhammad), and those who believed. Allah is the Lord of the believers." 3:67-68

"Then we inspired you (O Muhammad) to follow the religion of Abraham, monotheism; never was he an idol-worshiper." 16:123

Logically, if Prophet Muhammad was a follower of Abraham, and we are followers of Prophet Muhammad, then we are followers of Abraham. What did we learn from Abraham? The Quran teaches us that we learned ALL THE RELIGIOUS PRACTICES of Islam from Abraham. The whole Arabian society before and during the time of Prophet Muhammad had many followers of the religion of Abraham.
